Some nuggets of truth - strongly disagree on her Obama commentary - dont agree with the H. Rap Brown comparison - way too much profanity - even for a rant. Shes right about the college educated rap artists. They are smart enough to know how to market to the lowest common denomination of people - I learned that in broadcast journalism as well - unfortunately its the only way they were going to make money - and theyve done so quite successfully because they under stand who and what their market is. Now in terms of the music industry - we keep buying and we keep falling into the trap even though we can control our own industry. The analogy she made about the $120.00 sneakers that only last for three months as opposed to buying something educational is the EXACT SAME ANALOGY BILL COSBY MADE TO BLACK PARENTS AND HAS BEEN MAKING FOR THE PAST TWO DECADES - now coming through an younger conduit - it was true when Cos said it; its true now. Over all Ill give her rant a B- Im just hoping that the 7,677,868 views were primarily Black - maybe theyll wake up - even though she was wrong about Obama, she has so many other things right.
