Some obscure things that I like about Argentina: - Many women of all ages have long hair. - Voting is an obligatory civic duty. -Argentina stood up to the predatory hedge funds. - There is a high level of public education. Education at all levels, including universities, has always been free. - The bus system in Buenos Aires is extensive and affordable. - There is incredible music and dance...not just tango!!! - Men say ridiculously hyperbolically charming things to you all the time. (Real example from an old milonguero twice my age and half my hight: You are my queen and next week I will bring you a diamond tiara!) - Men ranging from my sons to my fathers age flirt with me or toss piripos (see above) my way in the street. - Grand old cafés. - Medialunas y cafe con leche at La Viruta at 4am. - Many men of all ages have long hair. :) (More to come but its Time to get off the bus now.
