Some of books Ive read recently and I reccomend everyone to read. 1) Niccolò Machiavelli — The Prince. This book was written by the Italian politician Niccolò Machiavelli and diplomat in 1532. This book is so ancient, but damn it, it is so much about the modern world! You will be totally amazed. If you want to understand, how countries are ruled and how good and bad leaders behave, how to become an effective leader in your life, this book is for you. 2) Two books by a Ukrainian writer, who is believed to have the highest IQ in this Universe, Anatoly Wasserman: Acute Strategic Failure and How Socialism is Better then Capitalism. Both books are arguable, which makes them twice more interesting. The first book explains on examples from history how to think strategically, the second one showes how did the writer change his capitalist views and why he thinks now socialism will be more effective then capitalism after 2020. In two words, that will happen because computers will be fast enough to calculate daily economic plans for the global economy. The most dissapointing thing is that those books are not translated into English, but I am sure those of my American friends how learn Russian will be interested. 3) Johna Goldberg: Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning. One of the most marvelous books about American backstage politics, about a wrong belief that fascist and liberalism are opposite ideologies. The book proves that liberal ideas differ then fascist in not significant details. Should I share my thoughts about books I have read or not? I think it is sad people dont discuss books anymore and I try to fix that.
