Some of reason reasons for deciding not to vote for Narendra Modi?. India needs leader who can lead with honesty not with lies. Yes we need change but not by giving this country to person to lead who will create vibrant India only on paper & advertisement. 1. Fake Self Proclaim that WikiLeaks US diplomat described Modi as “incorruptible” — in fact, “the lone honest Indian politician”. Fact: Plain Lie, no US diplomat mentioned that. On the contrary, complete reading of the cable is an another proof of “pseudo-secularist” charges on Modi (downright communal, big-ticket corruption and low on achievements). IN-DEPTH K(NOT)WLEDGE: Confusing Shyama Prasad Mookerjee with Shyama Krishna Verma, I mean, cmon, he was the Jan Sangh founder and the other a revolutionary. Calling a fellow Gujarati, the guy whose photo is on the rupee, Gandhi, by the wrong name (Mohanlal). Saying that Article 370 is somehow restrictive to the rights of women. Claiming Taxila is in Bihar and that Alexander had an encounter with the Biharis. Claiming that India is the biggest exporter of Cow Meat. (Its water buffalo meat)(Source: Modi slams UPA for beef export, confuses cow with buffalo) PERSONALITY: He is a control freak, and a person who allegedly had his love interests followed by senior IPS officers. He has maintained a stark silence on his alleged Snoopgate. And he talks about women empowerment. Is this women empowerment by send state IPS officer? FALSE ADVERTISING: His website (Page on Www) claims 450 billion USD worth MoUs signed by the Vibrant Gujarat in 2011, facts are that the FDI for that year were 30.38 billion... for the entire country. Proof : narendramodi.in/7936-mous-worth-rs-20-83-lakh-crore-450-billion-us-dollars-signed-at-vibrant-gujarat-2011-%E2%80%93-hon%E2%80%99ble-cm/ FUDGING THE NUMBERS: Claim : In last 10 years, the agriculture growth rate of Gujarat is higher than every other state in the country. Top 5 states have shown, on an average of 300% compared to mere 15% growth of Gujarat over the 10 years period of comparison. If you consider only last 10 years performance, even small states like Jharkhand have completely out performed Gujarat. How lame and baseless are the claims , that Gujarat’s agricultural growth rate is higher than every other state in last 10 years, when statistics show a completely different picture? Proof : planningcommission.nic.in/data/datatable/2504/databook_44.pdf GUJARAT EFFECT: Gujarat always performed better than India on an average, even before Modi, so the claim that he transformed Gujarat into a developing state is itself a lame one PLAIN LYING TO THE MEDIA: Gujarat has lost zero man days due to labour unrest (strikes, lockouts etc.) Check the annual report of Union finance ministry - The Economic Survey for the year 2010/11 (page no. 235 - 236) It clearly shows the maximum incidences of strikes and lockouts were recorded in Gujarat. Wage and allowance, bonus, personnel, indiscipline and violence were the major reasons. Proof : indiabudget.nic.in/budget2011-2012/es2010-11/echap-09.pdf TOURISM : Under Modi, Gujarat has turned out to be the visitors favourite destination in India. As per Modi In the last year Gujarat got over 22 million tourists and witnessed a tourism growth rate of over 16%, which is double of the national tourism growth rate. From Rs. 30 crore in 2005-2006, the tourism budget today is Rs. 500 crore. Proof: As recorded in official tourism website of Gujarat, Number of tourists during 2010-11 = 19,811,936 (19.8 million) Number of tourists during 2011-12 = 22,354,665 (22.3 million) Anyone who can do simple calculation would find out that, increase is around 13% (12.8% to be exact) and not 16% as Modi tells the nation. ANTI CORRUPTION FARCE: In April2012, he passed a new bill, The Gujarat Lokayukta Aayog which allows him to 1. Choose the Lokayukta of his own choice. 2. Block Lokayukta from investigating any cases against himself or his cabinet ministers. 3. Remove the primacy of high court chief justice and the governor in the appointment of Lokayukta. What great Gujarat Model of governance! What great deceptive leader against corruption! Is this what you call a strong Lokpal, when you criticize central government for bringing strong Lokpal, Mr Modi ? RIOTS FALSIFICATION: Doesnt he always say that riots havent taken place after 2002? Some Examples.... 11 hurt in ‘communal’ clashes in Rajkot, A’bad Curfew in parts of Dahod after clash One killed in riots in Bhavnagar 26 shops gutted in Kodinar violence Violence in Gujarat town, 3 dead Three die in Vadodara clashes Gomtipur violence smacks of poll agenda Religious riots in western India leave two dead 30 people hurt in in Ahmedabad Tension brews, violence spreads to Kalupur FUDGING FACTS #1: Modi claims that 25 lakh jobs were generated in 2009, thanks to vibrant Gujarat 2009 and said itll generate 52 lakh jobs in 2011. Planning Commission Employment report, page no 126, suggests that, number of people employed in major sectors has come down from 25.3 million in 2004-05 to 24.65 million in 2009-10 Proof : planningcommission.gov.in/aboutus/committee/wrkgrp12/wg_emp_planing.pdf FUDGING FACTS #2 : Somethings that are not spoken about. a. POVERTY There are some things which Modi doesnt tell you. In social sector, Gujarat is one of the worst performing states in the country. Proof : planningcommission.nic.in/data/datatable/2504/databook_70.pdf b. ELECTRICITY TARIFFS Surely MODIfication of poor into poorest is working like charm. Gujarat is one of the more costlier states for electricity for domestic and agricultural use in the country. This is shocking, considering Gujarat is a power surplus state. In 2007-08, tariff was 1.20 Rs/kwh, by 2011-12 it has been raised to 1.76. This is the consequence of giving all powers to the corporates to decide the tariff as they want. Proof : planningcommission.nic.in/data/datatable/2504/databook_130.pdf c. EDUCATION Its better not to look at the education sector, Gujarat has one of the most pathetic record in this sector. State has school drop out rate of 62. We cant even compare this with Kerala, Chandigarh or Delhi. Overall India has lower dropout rate than Gujarat. This doesnt mean those who are sticking to schools are getting any quality education.Gujarat has the worst record among all the states by leading the reduction in number of woman enrolment percentage into higher education. Proof: planningcommission.nic.in/data/datatable/2504/databook_198.pdf Proof: img.asercentre.org/docs/Publications/ASER%20Reports/ASER_2012/fullaser2012report.pdf FALSE CLAIMS #2: Gujarat is only state in the whole India to provide 24*7 and 365 days electricity to almost all of its 18000 villages. Gujarat’s villages were fully electrified by 1996 (or even before), Modi has no role in 100% village electrification. FALSE CLAIMS #4: Gujarat’s agriculture growth is 10-11% since whole last decade. In last 6 years, Gujarat’s agriculture had -ve years of growth -1.08% (2007) & -8.71% (2009), and a zero growth year 0.3% (2010). FALSE CLAIMS #5: Gujarat is the first state in country to have “high speed wireless broadband” service in its all 18000 villages. Fact: BSNL brought that to Gujarat. Ironically this is one of deals for which former Telecom minister A. Raja is under investigation. FALSE CLAIMS #6: Modi made the Asia’s biggest solar plant.Intending: Solar energy revolution was started by Modi. Fact: Solar energy revolution in India was started by UPA govt in 2010 as hard as it is for me to swallow that they did something good, but they did. FALSE CLAIMS #7: Gujarat model of governance - Clean and corruption free. Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has come up with many reports on How Modi government gave undue benefits to corporates resulting in several hundred crores loss to exchequer. How his investments from borrowing is turning bad and how he is doing excess market borrowing to finance the fiscal deficit. In its recent annual report. Jai Ho!! This is going to be our Vibrant India!!
