Some of the incidences i encountered during the freelance hustle with daily sun newspaper made me have a heart of steel,a fearless approach to obstacles.in all the cases i had my life and that of a colleagues in danger but at end of day we all survived the slaughter. 1. Held hostage by a white farmer in a farm near clocolan at night,free state.i had to negotiate with the farmer via a broken Africans, 2. Wild Chase by white farmers between Reitz and landley in a gravel road at night driving a Toyota tazz after covering a story where a farm worker was brutally beaten and thrown in to the krall full of horses. When we left the farm on way to landley, we were followed by these guys,it was myself and the journalist, while still on the run,i lost control of the car,it skidded of the roa,rolled and came to a stand still in a field where maize/corn was ploughed,quickly moved out of the wreck and ran deep in to the maize,when these guys reached the accident scene,we were nowhere to be found only came out when we saw a police van approachin,which we had called for help,none of us were injured.i never even went to hospital,just took parado and was fine the following day. 3. Helped a colleague who did a documentary with etv about sangomas,traditional healers,priests,all these documentary was done with the sangomas,healers at the very deep and scary cages of Motoulong near Clarens,taking pics with all these in the cages,some at night,the cages are used to train the sangomas and the traditional healers,they say if u have bad spell u wont comeback from those cages,u simply vanish.tempt that was scary coz i thought i wudnt survive
