Some of you guys know this past year presented some challenges that brought on stress and anxiety for me like I had never experienced. Business trauma, parenting stress, moving, being displaced for months, health issues, financial worry... I really let it get the better of me. However, I have been so graciously encouraged by my husband, family and friends. I am blessed that I have been gently reminded who is in control and who we serve. When I acknowledge who He is, I cant help but experience this amazing sense of thankfulness for the very things that cause me worry! When your world is rocked and you feel your own strength will fail, you HAVE to know the character of the Lord to stand strong. I find this chapter to be especially encouraging and helpful. If you are struggling too with worry and anxiety, be comforted by this Truth. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits- who forgives ALL your sins and heals ALL your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and CROWNS you with love and compassion, who SATISFIES your desires with good things. The Lord works righteousness and justice for the oppressed...The Lord is COMPASSIONATE and GRACIOUS, slow to anger, abounding in LOVE. He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever. He DOES NOT treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For AS HIGH AS THE HEAVENS ARE ABOVE THE EARTH, SO GREAT is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has COMPASSION on those who fear Him. FOR HE KNOWS HOW WE ARE FORMED, HE REMEMBERS THAT WE ARE DUST... But from everlasting to everlasting the Lords love is with those who fear Him and His righteousness with their childrens children- with those who keep His covenant and remember to OBEY His precepts...
