Some of you know that I have been fretfully trying to sell my house, and this past week there were many who came to look - some for the third time. One of these third timers was a man looking for a home for his two daughters. He came three times, he looked, he questioned, he worried, he brought his daughters (who are FABULOUS!), he brought his friends, he brought a contractor, he even brought his ex-wife (who is a true delight!), he questioned some more, he looked, he looked HARD. He looked at the walls, the windows, the doors, the roof, he looked beyond the hominess and the beauty, but he looked under every leaf and rock - turned them Over to look. After the 2nd trip when he was walking back to his car, I saw my Father - MY Dad. Saw him looking, asking, turning over leafs and rocks. The morning of the third time he came, I cried a little thinking how tenderly Powerfully caring my Father was to me. A Man of Men to me, if I were ever able to tell his story. I saw my Father in this man this week....Thank the Lord, there are still Fathers like these.
