Some of you may already know, and some of you may not: the police is essentially Americas largest organized gang. They behave as if they are above the law, and they resort to violence to solve almost every problem. There are so many problems - poorly trained officers, flagrant racism, the type of people they recruit to be cops, no outside accountability mechanism, and thats to say nothing of the militarization trend. Please, dont repeat the trite saying that most cops are good cops, because its just not true. This is systematic abuse and corruption... The good cops are the exception, and they are usually weeded out by the other type.
