Some of you may believe there are three branches of government. News Flash folks, there are four. The Legislative, the Executive, the Judicial, and the Senate. Perhaps the founding fathers could foresee and that is why they established a system where Senators were appointed by their prospective State Legislators. By doing this, the Senator was only responsible to His (or Her) State and was a watch dog for legislation that affected their own state. If this was the case now, you would have seen Harry Reid at the Bundy ranch carrying an M-14 and facing down the BLM. The first thing needed to be done is to repeal the 17th amendment. Those founding fathers were pretty smart guys.
