Some of you may remember an analysis of longbow use in the Crecy campaign from horseback that I wrote and was published in Miniature Wargames at the start of the 1990s. It debunked a lot of myths built up in wargaming rule books. This video also debunks a lot of stuff about bowmen (especially rate of fire) Incidentally, as 9-year-olds, my mates and I made our own bows and arrows and I used the arrow to the right technique with my left thumb as the arrow rest (see it in the video), we also held the arrows in both our bow and draw hands - that was in the 1960s. youtu.be/BEG-ly9tQGk
