Some of you were discussing how you mix up your fertilizer water and what you use for containers and fertilizer. I just wanted to share what Ive been doing, for my collection of 70 varieties, 100 plants total (mostly in Oyama pots), and 2 trays of leaves. I thoroughly clean out 1/2 gallon milk jugs. I use jugs with pink lids for plain water (PW), and jugs with green lids for fertilized water (I use 1/16 teas. of Optimara 14-12-14 powder per 1/2 gallon). I also put water into some small pointy-top bottles for watering leaves and tiny babies. Our water here is pretty good, but I let it sit in open jugs for 24 hours to allow chlorine to evaporate.
