Its a for-real request from the North Carolina USO on behalf of some Air Force members who will shortly be going on a remote deployment, outside of usual support channels. If you can help, please contact the USO staffer listed below: Subject: Support Needed! Upcoming Deployment A group of airmen will be deploying for approx. 7 months in the very near future to a very remote location. The group includes 25 women. During the deployment, they will not have access to any type of store/shopette to restock toiletry items. We are asking for your help. Below is a list of items and the quantities needed to cover the very basic needs of these women over the 7 month period. If you belong to a church group, civic organization, work group that would be willing to collect items on the list please let me know. To accomplish this task, selecting 1 or 2 items or more and fulfilling the quantities needed is the best approach. Our target date is Monday 8 September for delivery to the RDU center so that items can then be delivered to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base to be loaded in a cargo container and shipped by the base on 11 September. 160.
