Some of you wont like this, but Im going to say it because it needs to be said. This is my personal opinion. We live in a free country, people are allowed to have different opinions and YOU are not required to like/share them. There was a pro-Israel rally held today in Cape Town. There was absolutely no need for pro-palestinian supporters to be in the area. People are allowed to support Israel. Thats what freedom of expression means. You have no business there. Its not constructive to stand across the street and see who can shout louder. Come on peeps. I know were emotional. But lets keep our heads and focus our efforts on being constructive. There is no reason to respond with violence or hate speech. Were better than that. People, on both sides, are saying a lot of hurtful things. Dont engage with them. Ive learned that its fruitless. Id rather watch paint dry. Like George Carlin said - Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
