Some of you wont like what I am about to say (mostly anyone raised in small towns with little educational opportunity) .....but here goes... I am no genius.....in fact, I always have to spell check the word, genius. But I do think that somehow, I gained certain knowledge through osmosis, having been raised in a town (Bloomington) which was teaming to the brim with highly educated people. There have been times in my 21 yrs of marriage, that I have been frustrated by the fact that I was quite sure I have correct information stored in my brain, which my husband was never exposed to by having been raised in Waldron, In... Time and time again, this theory of mine has been tested....Well, this morning it was tested once again. It would seem (to me) quite elementary and fundamental to assume a 5 gallon plastic jug of water, which had a known leak in the base, may not be suitable for placing in the upside down position atop the water cooler which was sitting on a very nice laminate floor. Unless of course, you are purposefully trying to ruin said laminate floor, the baseboard, the plywood sub floor, the ceiling below, and the carpet there under. Maybe Im wrong about absorbing knowledge through osmosis. Maybe my science teacher was successful at teaching me the theory of relativity...or about Issac Newton....cause and effect, etc...but I really dont remember listening....Somehow I got it. And to be equally yoked to someone who constantly challenges the forces of science and nature can be exhausting.... WELCOME TO MY WORLD. P.S. Please excuse my spelling and punctuation, as I am quite sure I did not acquire that skill through environmental exposure.
