Some people are laughing at Workers Party simplicity in addressing issues. Which if measure in intellectual context, its indeed true that Workers Party statements do not hold much leverage against those who are informed. We laugh at WPs inability to use national or international standards in answering or questioning why certain things are done in such ways. And we are quick to even accuse their rhetoric as substandard. However, many forgotten, its politics we are talking about. What moves people emotionally are not the same determinants as what moved people logically. Example. People are not interested in how well we are measured internationally on the reliability of our rail networks, they are only concern what are the authority going to do about the frequent breakdowns. Laugh if you want to, by all means its your freedom and rights to do so. While I lament at how poorly the whites are playing their chess pieces. Worst still are their supporters urging how right their leaders are responding to issues using international standards and protocols. I dont care if you have a health program for the aged. But I care if my old parents do not get adequate medical care when they needed it. PAP is not losing the ground because of their abilities to get things right. They are losing grounds because they are unable to explain why it is right. Many years in power had probably in part, handicapped PAPs ability to empathize and respond sympathetically with the people. And that WP scored.
