Some people believe in God, some dont. But every individual has - TopicsExpress

Some people believe in God, some dont. But every individual has one thing in common- FAITH. It is our faith that gives us the driving force, willingness to live. To have faith is to hope for things which are not seen, which are true. Or at least you think they are true. A religion is something that has been formed by people. No God, Demi God came to us and said please form a community through which you will worship me in a special way- and call it Hinduism or Islam or Christianity or Buddhism etc. It was us who have created the religions to reach to the God in a better way. And why do we reach out to the God, it is to get his/her blessing- which will lead us to a happy, fulfilled and prosperous life, which will give our children love and bright hope for future, our seniors support and care. If the sole purpose of any religion is to spread love, warmth and hope and to nurture the kids- then why people are shooting innocent kids? I really want to understand what crosses their mind when they pull the trigger directed towards an innocent child. What bigger motive can there be that he has to kill a toddler. Many of them talk about Sacrifice. What kind of sacrifice is this, and for what reason. If they are themselves sacrificing I would have still understood. But then how their God can give them this right of sacrificing someone elses life. The best part of our country is, we always take a lot of time to react. We are right at the top when theres a survey conducted on best by-passers. We needed thousands of life sacrifices to out throw the British, whereas 90% of the huge British Army comprised of Indians. We would wait for a massive incident to occur before we would come down to the streets to protest. Today I found a blind Muslim begging on a deserted Train boggie. Some young guys were sitting at the corner, and started teasing him. Swearing him by his religion and cast, even pushing him. To my surprise I found the passengers- there were about 15 more people, didnt even utter a word. Some of them were looking towards these guys and showing a disgusted expression, but they didnt say a thing. Of course, these guys were a group of seven, and they appeared to be very rough & tough and of the kind who might harm you big time. I once thought to overlook and let go, I mean if no one is doing anything why should I. And everyday we get these news that someone somewhere tried to protest and he or she was beaten up or murdered, I mean, so many things can happen. But then I realized that if I let it go, for the next number of years I will live, I will always have this in my mind, that I could have protested and saved the beggar, but I chose a safer life instead. Everyday it will kill me. How would I look at my God or face myself in the mirror. Let me accept that I was scared to hell. But I went towards them and humbly requested them to leave the beggar. I asked them how much they know about their own religion before criticizing someone else. I showed them my paite and said that I am religious Brahmin. When I asked them, I got to know that 4 of them were Brahmins too. But forget paite or Janeu, they dont even know the Gayatri Mantra. So, who gave them this right to criticize another man on the name of his religion, when they dont follow their own religion properly? A verbal fight broke off, followed by constant threats, even a guy tried to push me but didnt succeed, and when they found out that I am not giving up, they left the coach and got down on the next station. Either they felt ashamed or they thought that I am a big gun. Whatever it is, I felt relieved to have done something right. The beggar thanked me. I am posting this not to share my heroism but to reach out to people who are by- passers like the 15 odd who were on that boggie. I thought it was my duty, and so I did it. My duty is to protest people when they do wrong, and support people when they do something right. Also to listen to people and rectify if someone proves that I have done something wrong myself. I will continue doing that, if someone supports me, he or she is welcome, if someone doesnt, I dont have anything against them. Just I would request them that for once try to show that you have got the guts to fight against the society and do something wright, believe me, if not anything you will be proud for yourself, despite what people think about you. And yes, I have faith on God, but I have more faith on Humanity.
