Some people insinuate that Christian teaches violence. Is this true? Did Jesus teach violence or loving your enemies (Injeel Luke 6:27-28)? Jesus taught killing Luke 19:27! Did Jesus advocate fighting with a sword against their Roman occupiers? No. Never. In fact Jesus healed a Roman soldiers servant! Injeel Luke 7:1-10. This a great proof that Jesus loved His enemies and He did not kill them as Muhammad did. What about the people who are kill other in front of a king in story told by Jesus in Injeel Luke 19:27? Injeel Luke 19:27 is a parable about people who hide their money. Parables tell a story to find a moral. Parables do not teach doctrines about jihad or capital punishments for hiding your money. Jesus commanded to bring sword in Matthew 10:34! Injeel Matthew 10:34 is about a metaphsical sword that divides a family. When family members becomes Christ follwers there is division. It is not a physical sword. Jesus commanded to sell your cloak and buy a sword, Luke 22:36! Injeel Luke 22:36 is about taking a small sword for traveling, cutting wood and food. They 12 disciples told Jesus they only had two swords and Jesus said It is enough. I am sure Muhammad and his companions would disagree. One more point about the disciple Peter who misused their sword. Injeel Matthew 26:51-54 And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” Jesus taught that the sword brings violence. However, when you understand the teachings of Jesus you will have rest (Injeel Matthew 11:28) and peace, not as the world gives, but peace that comes from Jesus directly! (Injeel John 14:27).
