Some people know what has been going on in our world for the last month, we havent told many people because it has been extremely difficult and heartbreaking time for our family. Juliet had a cold which her doctor wasnt very concerned about, 2 days later on November 22 while Michael Kentopp and myself were home with her we noticed her skin and lip color looked a grayish blue. We loaded her up and took her to St . Christopher childrens hospital. I carried her inside and within minutes Juliet turned blue and completly limp. Her body had shut down. The doctors mangaged to bring her back several times in a hour. They ended up having to induce her into a coma and put a ventalater in. Testing showed that she had RSV, which for us is a common cold, but a 2 wk old baby it can be deadly. We spent 2 wk in the iCU fighting for her life. Her little lungs couldnt handle being sick, eventually they felt she could breath on her own again and removed the machine, within 3 hours her body shut down yet again leading them to have to put her back under and reincubate her. A week later we made the 2nd attempt to remove machine and this time she was strong enough. For 33 days we were in the hospital, feeling so helpless, it was the scariest weeks of our lives. Our family has received the most precious Christmas present this year, our little Juliet came home from the hospital yesterday and she is doing great. Our baby is a very strong little girl, who has pulled thru a sickness that the doctors told us they didnt have much hope for her. But God guided her thru this and he helped us stay strong for her and I couldnt be more thankful she is happy and healthy and back home where she belongs. We are extra blessed this Christmas, our family is back home TOGETHER and that is the best gift I have ever received. Thank you to our family and friends who have been there for us, and thank you to our God for saving our babygirl. Going thru this has def taught me to appreciate each moment with my daughters, Devon and Juliet are my heart and soul. I love my girls more then they could ever know.
