Some tablet advice. I get asked about this almost everyday, which tablet one should use for working digitally. And people still go for buying screen tablets like cintiqs thinking that it would make them magically paint better. I use a wacom one - medium sized tablet with 1024 pressure levels, for my professional work as well. Its pretty cheap [6.5k] and you can literally throw and get a new one if it gets damaged. This works good for a 17 inch screen, and I use a 21in screen on the side for references. For any screen beyond that 17in, either map the medium tablet to part of the screen where you paint, and use the mouse alternately. OR Get a Wacom Intuos large and use it on a 21in screen, if you like to have a lot of references on one screen or watch videos while painting. Use arm movements for your strokes rather than wrist movements. Examples of some warm-ups you can do, to get better on the pressure tablet. All of these should be done without rotating the canvas, to get better and faster at using these tablets where you cannot rotate the canvas that often.
