Some things to remember. Kinda of a rant but more informational then anything. yes cop haters this is a post about cops and using your Brain for both sides. Like it,if not cool but please leave it alone or get banned simple as that. You have been warned. As an officer of the law you must Be Fair, impartial and unbiased. Follow the Law while still employing common sense. Remember you work for the people. To protect and serve.... sometimes that meaning is confused by the person you are dealing with, ex when you apply cuffs. The constitution is your oldest and most sacred legal document. Not everyone is lying but you have to use a grain of salt and suspect everyone. 2 beers is always 4 or more ( when called to a scene and you appear drunk or were pulled over for swerving in the opposite lane of travel etc) Yes people loose paperwork, drivers license and proof of insurance......yes we can verify if your legal or not but its not our job or responsibility to provide proof of your status. In fact its yours its the you are required to show proof. ( in our state) Citizens. If we pulled you over it wasnt because you needed a cookie, Pat on the back or a good citizen award......... You did something to attract our attention, honest mistakes happen we know that. Be honest. If you broke the law you may have to pay the fine for doing the crime. Its how it is. We dont make the rules we enforce them. if you hate cops and tell us that or treat us like trash you have set the tone. One bad encounter with a completely different officer does not mean treat us like you wanted to treat the other officer form the past, Yes You have rights but your not more special then anyone else I will treat you like I would treat my mother...yes if she broke the law I would write her too. I dont care who you know or that you plan on taking my badge....ruin my life.... Etc. I have heard that trash before. Being honest now after all the lies will help but no I am not going let you walk on whatever you spent the last 30 min lying to me about. Its not mine! Whos is it? I dont know....... ( your alone) is this your car? Yes. Hmmmmm This list grows. Please just follow the law and dont be an a Hole. If you run into an a hole cop take name badge etc and report them. Dont hate us all. More good cops then bad. We deal with all kinds and booze all else remember we hardly ever get called when folks are at their best. We do care and we do help you just might not see it our way.
