Some thoughts Im gathering on the journey.....to say that these past 5 + months have been a game changer...uh yah, that would be true. What Im BEGINNING to notice about this game changer stuff is that not all of it is out in the open/the circumstantial or whatever...yes, ones heart is impacted-for some, faith grows-for some, it is said...it crumbles...whatever the case, faith gets rattled/hope gets bruised & battered and life...well, it just changes. Many cries have been made heavenward....declarationof holy writ has been the order of the day...words of thanksgiving do come from the heart...fresh perspectives on ancient truths have been embraced. As these goodly expressions have taken/are taking place...Im BECOMING aware of something..... (Consider these from scripture) whether its Noah & a boat, Abraham & Isaac, Jacob & an angel, David & Goliath, a paralytic lowered before Jesus or Peter, Jesus & H2O, to name a few....most of us (starting with me)...we look at the miraculous event...but there is something that transcends the event...theres more than an ark for safety, a ram in the thicket, jacobs wrestling skills, little peoples ability to kill big-bad-people, holes-in-the-ceiling-that-get-healings and the piece de resistance of faith-man walking ON water. Any of these things would excite any flavor of the faith...I mean seriously!!..if the truth were known...it would be that in each of these, it was more than the need of the moment/season...it was a pressing in/a pursuit of/a drawing into ...better yet, an embracing of God Himself...and the ultimate piece de resistance...God making Himself known to frail people-people like you and me. The psalmist said, The Lord is my light and my salvation...How could he say that?!...because in the same passage it would reveal the secret...YOU said seek my face...my heart says, your FACE (not your hands-that which gives/distributes things...but YOUR face) Lord, will I seek. Our need may cry out for demonstration...and that is right/good...but ultimately, what faith cries out for is Christ HIMSELF/Emmanuel God with us....ALL problems are now solved.
