Some thoughts on the James Foley video/movie: 1. ISIS/JN/FSA always show the gory details of the beheadings and executions they carry out, somehow this is a source of pride for them, not sure why in this video they cut short and release a censored video? Yes they reportedly showed a decapitated figure at the end, but when you shoot a video that is so professional, Im sure you can easily come up with props. And surely this would be their prized video, so why not show the full scene? 2. There was no blood present despite him hacking at the neck a few times before the scene was cut. If you take one swipe at a neck with a sharp knife, blood literally spurts out everywhere, if youve ever slaughtered an animal you will know what I mean. There was no blood present. 3. Why was the executioner wearing a mask? All the other videos of guys from the west, they were proud to show their face. Eg. Elomar and Khaled Sharrouf and his kid. Why cover the face? 4. Since when did journalists taken as captive wear a trademark orange prisoner outfit? Is this part of some international rule that ISIS are observing? And for a prisoner who was reportedly missing for 2 years, James Foley was neatly groomed, haircut, clean shaven, goatee trimmed. The video is now being used to actively get public opinion ready for another invasion of Iraq.
