Some time ago, to satisfy my obsession for physical exercises, I thought about joining the Man OWar. I think their motto is: Build the man, build the nation, and theyre true to their word. When you see its members, you know these ones are physically fit: they walk smartly, and look shapely. Then, theyre not afraid to face a crowd and talk when need be; theyve been taught boldness, and many other things. Before concluding plans to join, I tried to gather info about it by making friends with the Man OWar girls on my block, sadly, the one here is nothing much to write home about, so I faced my main business (afterall, na book dem send me come read in the first place). One big advantage I would have gained if Id joined is never complaining about stressful morning/ evening parades (when I eventually go serve) like these NYSC folks who wont let us hear word (Lol), because members are used to the training already. On the other hand, when I see those girls coming back from early morning parade with tired-looking faces, Im no longer sure I want to be in their shoes. Anyway, this is the end of my story. Shout out to all NYSC folks out there. Enjoy the parades while they last. Lol.
