Some very important things I learned this weekend: A mound of dirt on the side of the road is not a charging porcupine the size of a small country which is bound and determined to take me out at the knees. A coping of trees on the side of the trail is not a small undiscovered village with little people smiling and waving at me. The chipmunk I saw does not make enough noise in the bush to constitute me thinking there is a cougar stalking me. A rabbit makes a great pacer for a ultra runner until it decides to turn on the jets and leave me in the dust. That is all for now. More to follow...........
