Some very interesting information is contained within this link Im providing. It takes an open mind to be able to ever consider any of this. It definitely calls for some extensive research, but I have a feeling that most of what is stated herein is accurate. To sum it up into a nutshell: Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus there was another birth of someone called Mithra. During the time of Jesus the Romans worshiped this person as a one of their leading gods. The story of Mithra, his birth, his death, and his Resurrection, all align perfectly with the story of Jesus. From the time of ancient Egypt, there have been stories upon stories of virgin births, death, and resurrection to mimic the tale of Osiris. I dont dare imply anything to discredit any of the stories, it is definitely a curious occurrence, though. If this subject interests you then please check this link out.
