Some voices help us to improve our skills, providing correction and encouragement; but others seem only to exist to tell us what’s wrong with our performance. Jesus offers us a model for living with the saying: “Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds.” Wisdom means being reflective about our daily tasks without being reactive to a loud,complaining voice, having the courage to change when our eyes are opened to better possibilities, or having the courage to stick with the deeds we do and the way we do them when critique is simply complaint.
