Some words of wisdom from Mike Coyner, bishop of the United Methodist Church in Indiana, about how we can respond to all the violence and turmoil in the world today: “We can’t fix it all, but we can do what we can do. We can walk the path of peace and justice each day. We can treat every person we encounter with the love of God. We can offer the peace of Christ in every relationship in our life which is strained or broken. We can seek peace in every small action, every purchase we make, every vote we cast, every decision we make. We can use the words of peace in every Facebook post, every e-mail and every conversation. We can seek justice and offer justice into every situation of our own lives. We can’t fix it all. But we can do what we can do -- as we walk the pathway of peace and justice. May God help us to stay on that path.”
