Some would look at the expiry and redevelopment of False Creek south as progress or even use phrases like the winds of change, but what I am seeing her is not the process of getting from where we are to where we want to be, and the only wind I can detect is the hot, foul breath of greed. Lets face it--the issue is really one of exploiting new territory to benefit the rich and displace people who have a decent standard of living, a real affordable (now, theres an abused word!) kind of housing. You can bet your bottom dollar that Visions hand is in this, and as a party of the 1% for the 1%, you can be sure that they will do exactly what their corporate puppet-masters tell them to do. COPE has made it a policy to return governance to the voters, to make decisions RESPECTING what people want, as opposed to Visions top-down impositions. There may be other parties doing so as well, but for sure, we need to rid ourselves of Vision. Be sure to VOTE. Lets make a difference.
