Some years ago, a brother left the shore of Angela Merkels country for a 4-day Christian conference in the UK. However, he was so pre-occupied with his higher studies; he found time to enrich himself with spiritual foods and fresh touch from the throne. During the conference, he met an old undergraduate friend who later prayed with him in his room after the days final message. Then, something happened during the night. He saw vividly in the dream what kind of woman (stature), ministry, her friend (a known face in Christian movies) but her (future wife) face wasnt revealed. When he woke up, the Lord told him that was his future wife. How will I know and find her? Was his constant question but kept praying until after 8 months when the Lord prompted him one fine Saturday evening to watch a particular Christian film on YouTube. In fact, this brother made sure he finished watching Part 1 and 2 of that particular movie which elicited serious prayers afterwards. Barely after two weeks, he heard a gentle still voice while praying during a Sunday pre-service workers meeting that the lead actor in that movie would be his wife. He rebuked the voice but the peace was so soothing and convincing that the brother burst into tears knowing that God is ever faithful. The Lord confirmed again through specific Bible verses and inner witness. Before taking any major step, he informed his pastor who guided and prayed with him. They had never met but the Lord informed the sister in her country about this brother before he ever put a call across to her. The brother flew to his country of origin, met her to finalize the necessary procedures and eventual marital vows before the Lord and his people. In summary, it was a miracle and the mercy of God prevailed. To the young bachelors and spinsters, I am very sure that God still guide his people today if only you can trust Him. Distance is not a barrier but God will bring you together. Your own time may prove fatal but Gods time is the best. Tasting the forbidden fruit before marriage may seem normal but it will surely bring Gods wrath and breeds insecurity. Seeking after physical credentials may bring temporary relief but Gods choice glorifies Him. It wasnt the righteousness or ability of this writer that brought his spouse but Gods mercy only. As you wait patiently, praying and trusting Him Gods mercy will prevail and you will soon dance to the altar to the glory of God. Have a blessed day!
