Somehow this didnt upload to YouTube; Im supposed to be able to upload videos over 15 minutes from there but it kept saying this one was too long. Kinda confused about that. So that makes this a Facebook exclusive. Heres a longplay of the NES version of MTV Remote Control, based on the game show of the same title presented (hosted to most of you) by the late Ken Ober. Most of the game show conversions released by Hi-Tech Expressions were bad, and while this one I feel is ruined by the obnoxious virtual host, its definitely not as bad as the NES version of Fun House (which had NOTHING to do with that particular show). I have a vague memory of playing the Apple II version of this game once, and I have to say that version blows this one out of the water. Im actually ashamed at how many questions I knew AND at how many I got right just by taking shots in the dark, especially after an incorrect answer by the AI. By the way, the bonus game isnt here. No platform in the world would have been able to recreate it properly, and I dont think it would look so hot even on todays hardware. I think the closest the developers could have come was a variation used on a couple of shows with celebrity players where the winner was spun on a giant wheel and had to answer questions instead of naming the band inside a video, and every right answer increased their chances of winning $5,000 for their charity (the wheel stopped spinning the moment the last question was attempted). By the way, the Think Real Fast speed round ends four second early because the game ran out of questions, but by then the outcome was no longer in doubt.
