Someone approached me with this statement in regards to my Oneness - TopicsExpress

Someone approached me with this statement in regards to my Oneness view: You are aware that Rev. T. D. Jakes changed his doctrinal position from Oneness to Trinity right? Now I am not a very highly educated man, but I can read between the lines: The implication being that if one man, of much higher prominence than myself, saw the truth of The Trinity, why couldnt I see it? My response is this: You are aware that Stephen Hawking changed his position from Creation to Evolution, right? Using this philosophy, every time someone of much higher prominence changes their positions, we should just blindly follow, and change our own. I am not here to give an account for any other man; I will stand before God without their representation. All I know is that the truth that was revealed to me does not change with every wind of thought. Ephesians 4:4 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Colossians 2: 8 - 10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Romans 1:20 For from the creation of the world the invisible things of Him are clearly seen, being understood through the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Galatians 1: 6 - 12 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. 11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. @Back on Track Bible Studies- Rick Flores
