Someone asked me the other day what this quote means and how it relates to our parrots: When you take something from the wild and tame it to live among humans, it becomes unable to fend for itself as it would normally do in the wild. It becomes entirely reliant on you for its survival and general well-being. That makes the tamer responsible for maintaining every aspect of this animals life. It is a BIG responsibility.
