Someone asked me today if I thought my provocative posts about taboo subjects like religion or politics are costing me money in my business. They may be, but I cant care. Provoking people into engaging in emotional discussion and exploring that is how I sharpen the knives. Its how I get good at what I do. I like how smart you are about persuasion and conversion, but I dont like how you are provocative, is like saying you are an amazing bodybuilder and your physique is Olympian, but do you have to lift all those weights all the time? Anyone who really knows me and understands what I do shouldnt get mad, even if they get caught up in a discussion I am just using as practice. Im not interested in ever working with people that dont know me and understand what I do. So if it drives people away, I dont care, any more than McDonalds cares that their McRib combo drives away vegetarians. YMMV.
