Someone came up to me recently and said that he wished to be more - TopicsExpress

Someone came up to me recently and said that he wished to be more successful and have less problems in life. He could not deal with his problems and felt that they stopped him from being happy and successful. I bet with all your success and wealth, you have nothing to worry about, he said. Do you want to hear a secret confession?, I asked. He looked at me rather confused and yet curious at the same time. I said... I have bigger and more problems that you have. You see, the more successful you are, the bigger your problems will be. You may worry about paying your $5,000 bills every month, but I have to worry about my entire companys monthly overheads (staff salaries, rentals etc..) and my personal expenses of over $900,000 a month (thats $10.8 million a year). You have to worry about meeting your expectations for one job. I have to worry about multiple businesses I own in 7 countries with all kinds of problems... staff problems, competition, economic changes, foreign exchange risks, rising costs, etc... One mistake and I could lose millions a year! While I may have this big problems to deal with, I bet the prime minister of Singapore and the President of the US have much much bigger problems than me. One mistake and countries can go to war. The MORE you want to achieve in life, the bigger the problems you must be able to handle. If you cannot even handle and overcome your existing problems in life.. God will NOT give you more problems to handle. Hence, you will never be able to achieve more and bigger things in life. Instead of wishing that you have less problems, you should focus on building your mindset and skills to manage your problems and turn them to opportunities. When you can do this, you will be rewarded with more and bigger things in life...and with it, bigger problems ;-). Happiness comes not from having no problems. Happiness and fulfilment comes in being able to help the world solve its problems and creating value to others in the process. The more problems you can solve for the world, the greater the difference you will make in your lifetime.
