Someone from Gawker has put together a rundown of the Best Horror Movie Franchises of All Time. In order to be considered, there needed to be at least three movies in the series, and at least three of them had to be released theatrically. So, that means stuff like Leprechaun and Critters isnt included. The writer adds, quote, Ive factored remakes and reboots into these rankings, under the notion that legacies CAN be tarnished by modern output. Heres the list: 1. The Evil Dead 2. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3. Scream 4. Night of the Living Dead 5. Jaws 6. Halloween 7. Friday the 13th 8. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 9.
