Someone from the east end asked me today why no-one from the Yes campaign had been at his door. Hes had 3 phone calls from the Brits and a visit from local Labour trougher Maggie Curran - late of Charlotte st. The east end is a big place, Id say that between RIC and Yes there are less than 25 dedicated activists with more who come and go. We really need help. Ive deduced that the Brits are identifying those who are undecided by phone (as the person who spoke to me is) then following them up with personal visits. They have so few activists that paid volunteers and careerists are having to do the lions share of the no campaigns work. I know for a fact that ordinary people react best to other ordinary folk on the doorsteps, you dont need to know everything about the campaign. It is the passion and honesty you bring that is required. There has been a surge of people coming forward to help of late, now we are in the last stretch. Dont let this moment pass you by, if you can, please come out and help us win this.
