Someone in my dads group just asked a very important question and I think its deserving of some discussion here. The question was when we parents get a rare date night and go out to dinner with our spouses, do we sit across from our significant others at the restaurant or on the same side. And I have some very definitive thoughts on the subject. Listen. I dont want to get all dramatic or engage in hyperbole. But if youre a SameSider (the name Ive given to the miscreants who sit on the same side of a booth when its just the two of them) then youre whats wrong with this country. SameSiders are an affront to common decency, America, bald eagles, freedom, good values, morals, and restaurant etiquette. You sit across from one another. I sit facing the TV (assuming there is one) and/or the door. There can be no exceptions. This has been your PSA for the day.
