Someone must have downloaded some shady app on my mac and suddenly my chrome browser was inundated by pop ups, redirects and other unwanted stuff ... I absolutely hated it and tried all sorts of ways of getting rid of it, trawling many forums and reading a lot to see what could be done. There were many things written about what to do if you had chrome running on a windows machine, but very little for macs. Finally, after almost a month of frustration, i came across thesafemac He has some solid advice for people using macs and a fantastic little app called AdwareMedic. Running this app and following further instructions got rid of my problem for me. Later I found out that Gowri and Mayur had infected systems as well and were just living with it - So I introduced them to the magic of AdwareMedic and they are so thrilled to have no popups and redirects any more. Thought this needs to be shared with all of you coz many of you are using macs. Jai Gurudeva! love bawa
