Someone need this! It Aint Your Purpose! Im going through something - pray for me! How many times have you seen this sentence in your timeline? Countless right! Now, Im not making light of the matter that they are going through something - no. However, we all are going through something whether good or bad. I can testify that long-suffering has made me look at my going through differently. Ive changed my perspective on how I see my going through. Once I stopped asking God why or, telling Him its not fair, and requesting for Him to deliver me - I rehearsed in my head the benefits of my going through. I can testify that I dont react the same way. My flesh is not my first responder. If your flesh is your first responder then, keep going through until your spirit man becomes your first responder. Suddenly, I remind myself the Bibles says, Count it all joy when we face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance, perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Some of us have knowledge, but were lacking in maturity. Maturity is not gained while reading the Bible. Maturity is gained by going through. How else will the The Fruit of the Spirit be worked out? We must go through! :22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Suddenly, I remind myself the Bibles says, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Say It aint my purpose! out loud. This intimate season has been the best ever. Actually, this is the first time in my Christian walk Ive purposefully drawn closer to God. I pursued God like He was my favorite thing - fried chicken. Ive wept, fasted, Ive emptied out my heart, Ive laid prostrate before the Lord, and Ive gotten into the Word of God. When you change your view about your going through you will understand God is using that situation to bring you closer to Him. What youre lacking spiritually will be worked out in the midst of your going through. SHUT UP about going through. Realize that it aint your purpose, but Gods purpose. He wants to use you! In ending, since Ive stopped asking God why, telling Him its not fair, and requesting for Him to deliver me then, what do I ask now of God - simply to Remember me oh Lord! His Word covers everything else just Remember me oh Lord!
