Someone today posted something about wanting beach fire pits in Long Beach. A bit of an uphill battle. The South Coast AQMD had meetings and hearings last year with regard to fire pits all along the coast of California. Their conclusion was that due to micro particulate matter, fire pits should be restricted to no closer than 700 feet from the nearest house. Almost all of the beach in Long Beach is less than 700 feet wide.
