Someone told me this. The first thing you should do when you start any creative project (like an EP, album, painting, etc) is to confront your fears. To confront the things that you tell yourself that will hold you back. I constantly battle with the fear of not being good enough, and being to vulnerable in my music and in lyrics that I express; I have to battle the fear of not being a good enough producer, to not knowing enough about the music industry or having the right contacts. I also have to battle with the fear that no one will like what I create. Launching Youthfire has been one of the hardest parts of my creative journey so far. I had to confront many of fears to get it off the ground; but I think being honest about my fears and is an important part in my creative process. Being vulnerable is hard. But so is trapping yourself up in fear and not doing what you love to do...
