Someone who does a blog talk show- i hate blog talk for the record- tagged me in a post to participate in their show last night. I didnt listen or call in because I couldnt handle the argument last nigh my head was killing me... however this morning I happen upon the status where a black woman says she does not think the officer should be arrested... I immediately saw red and almost didnt finish reading. I stopped, calmed down and then continued to read...but her commentary didnt get better... I didnt respond aggressively... I took a few minutes- inhaled and exhaled deeply and I responded like this: I came home from Ferguson on Sunday. My husband remains there. We made it our business to let the residents of Ferguson know that we stand with them and behind them in their decision to fight for justice for the murder of this young man and to tell the truth about what is currently happening to them. There is so much false information circulating from main stream media and it breaks my heart to hear black people say immediately, well.what did he do? he must have been the aggressor... well from eye witness accounts thats not the case... ask residents and they will tell u of the daily abuses they encounter at the hands of the police in Ferguson. Since when is it illegal to walk in the street? Since when is it a good day to die because of it? The officer shot him, and continued to do so until he was dead. There is no threat if your hands are up in the air... Thr officer didnt call it in and he left the scene... we cant even leave the scene of a car wreck without being arrested... but he can leave? Do you know how racist it is in Ferguson... with 78% of the population being black and every person in power and holding political office being white... who believes in the Anglo-American way of justice! The officer should be arrested, and convicted... period. This isnt my opinion this is fact. I feel sorry for every special negro who has fogotten that they are black because they have been allowed to enter a few rooms... trust me, they will show you soon where you stand within this world where you were never to be considered as human, but as material possessions to be brought and sold. The people of Ferguson want justice, as would you if it were your child or your community. How easy we disconnect when all we have to do is shut off our televisions...too bad we cant turn off our blackness. #justiceforMikeBrown
