Somerset, KY - A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a child being burned with drain cleaner. On Wednesday afternoon, Sheriff’s units from Pulaski County along with the US Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force located Krystal E Hampton at the residence of Thomas Joe Smart on Hwy 92 in McCreary County. She was arrested without incident on an outstanding warrant charging her with controlled substance endangerment to a child 2nd degree – a class B felony. Smart is believed to be a friend of Hampton but is not involved in this incident. Hampton, 26, has been lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center. The child’s parents were arrested on Tuesday – Curtis W Anderson, 23, and Brittany N Helton, 24, were taken into custody at an apartment in Pleasant Hill Square. Both have been charged with controlled substance endangerment to a child 2nd degree and remain in the Pulaski County Detention Center under a $50,000 cash bond. The fourth suspect – 36 year old Brian Herrin – remains at large. This incident occurred at his residence where items used to manufacture methamphetamine were found. When apprehended, he will be charged with controlled substance endangerment to a child 2nd degree and manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense.
