Something BIG is happening in NEW YORK this weekend in case you haven’t heard….. THE OUTLOOK PROGRAM TO STOP ABUSE lands on THE SPOT in BROOKLYN this Saturday. SEE YOU THERE. Also… I notice there is this little horse & pony ride going on with all the MA politicians who for years were against the death penalty but now say that the Boston Marathon Bomber should be put down because this is a “special circumstance”. We live in a state where children have been abused / murdered, & women have been pulverized at the hands of boyfriends and husbands but yet these situations did not call for the “death penalty”. My point is that it is really hard for me to take anyone seriously when they start talking about how this kid should be put to death. Massachusetts is patting itself on the back as if it has accomplished something. It should be noted that I am AGAINST the death penalty but my reasons are probably a little unique from what might normally be given…. If I was to be faced with a lifetime in jail or the death penalty; I would take the injection. I think that sitting in a cell (not a facility where you can lift weights and watch TV), to think about what you did is far worse than death. Getting a shot and going to sleep is way too easy. And finally a message to New York & Russia: if you have to turn a city in to a militarized zone because you are so afraid that there might be a terrorist attack, then maybe you shouldn’t have hosted a sporting event in the first place. Why on earth would anyone even want to get anywhere near the Superbowl or Olympics at this point?
