Something God wants me to put in your spirit this morning, as he has put it in mine. Gods measure and expectation is for us to forgive. Many people, as well as myself in the past, have found it difficult to do this, especially when someone has done you wrong. My focus is on family today, as I believe God would have it. In one of my post, I say that just because you are family, does not mean you get a pass. That still stands true and so does Gods measure to forgive. He says in his word: Matthew 6:15 - But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. I also state, that just because you have forgiven, does not mean you have to engage. That is where the holy spirit should lead you in how you respond, once you have forgiven. You may have encountered someone who has been malicious in trying to harm or purposely hurt you. Remember....the measure is to forgive them, not to engage. Forgiveness is for you and it was a gift from God, who gave the ultimate sacrifice (Jesus Christ), so we would all have an opportunity to repent and be forgiven. Forgiveness is in the air (spirit) and the birth of Jesus was where it all started here on earth. The message of forgiveness to family is deep in my spirit this morning....hopefully it will be in yours as well. Much love to you all.
