Something I thought about after Nathan Skid showed me this. Ignore the rah-rah sentiment in this link. With all of the publications covering Detroit, how many local (someone born and/or raised here, nth-generation, just someone whose lived here >5 years) voices do we have talking about Detroit? Seems like the stuff that gets promoted and passed around the most is from wide-eyed visitors and transplants. (Nothing wrong with visitors and transplants, btw)
