Something a bit different. 1971 toward the end of my first year in - TopicsExpress

Something a bit different. 1971 toward the end of my first year in college, Boston. Yeah, I know. We were sitting on our mattresses on the floor in the dorm, tie dyed sheets on the ceiling, listening to rock & roll. This cat comes in and takes off, I think it was Derek & The Dominoes on the turntable and puts this on. Changed, once again, the way I viewed and listened to music. Ironically, Duane Allman was a guest featured on guitar. This was in a rotation on a little gig I djd this past summer and a flautist came up to me and asked who is this. He was blown away, never heard of him. Cornell Dupree (guitar), David Spinozza (guitar) Gene Bianca (harp), Richard Tee (piano, electric piano, organ), Chuck Rainey, Jerry Jemmott, Donald Duck Dunn (bass), Bernard Purdie, Al Jackson, Jr. (drums), and Ralph MacDonald (percussion). Guitar solos were by Duane Allman. No comments on the album cover please. It was the early 70s. https://youtube/watch?v=iR64lF2agbM
