Something cool (to me, anyway). I 2012, I had one of the strongest catnip plants I had ever encountered. At the end of the first harvest, I had scattered some seed heads around the neighborhood. Prior to the second harvest, a local cat (whom I have since adopted) destroyed that plant. I knew I had one child plant from that catnip at school, and that plant is strong and still growing. However, today I just happened to cross the street to a public area, and I found a whole bunch of strong catnip, soapwort, and some arising dotted mint, and I realized that those were all the result of the 2012 scattering. I harvested the catnip, and my cats are currently trying to smell my hands while I type. Does this make me Johnny Catnipseed? :)
