Something else that is on my mind is when we should put our house on the market (we own a home in Southern California). Retirement is still about a year and a half away (we are planners), but we dont want to be stuck in this house once the active duty dollars stop (well be moving back to Pennsylvania). The thought was to move to housing a few months from now so that the market does not put us in a bad position once its time to go.
