Something has been lurking and aching in my gums for a while now. I had the opportunity to use a mirror, so I pulled my upper lip right up to investigate. I was appalled and spooked at the callous, black bulge hiding up in there. I tried to pick it and it would not budge.. it only hurt. A scar? An infection? An insect parasite?
